NewJeans at the League of Legends World Championship, is composed of five talented members, including three Koreans and two Australians. Their exciting debut came on July 22, 2022, and since then, they have captivated fans around the world.

NewJeans will take the stage at the highly anticipated League of Legends (LOL) 2023 World Championship Finals on November 19, it has been confirmed by their agency.

This ensemble of five talented artists will perform live «Divinities,» the official anthem of the LOL 2023 Championship games, which launched on October 4. The live performance will mark the first time «Divinities» will come to life on a real stage. Notably, «Divinities» is the 10th official composition of the LOL Championship and has managed to rank as the most listened track among the event’s top ten songs on global streaming platform Spotify.
This is not the first time big names in music have been involved in LOL anthems; previously, renowned pop bands such as Imagine Dragons and Lil Nas X contributed their music.
Likewise, K-pop stars Soyeon and Miyeon of girl group (G)I-DLE participated as members of a virtual group called K/DA in 2018. However, NewJeans is the first girl group in the K-pop genre that will perform as a full ensemble.
The event will also feature Heartsteel, a virtual pop band created by LOL developer Riot Games, which will perform on the same day. Heartsteel released its first single, «Paranoia,» on October 24. The six members of Heartsteel are reinvented representations of six LoL champions, including Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, K’Sante and Sett.
In addition, member of the hit K-pop boy band EXO, Baekhyun, lent his voice to Heartsteel character and singer Ezreal.
The exciting finals of the LOL 2023 World Championship will take place on November 19 at the Gocheok Sky Dome stadium in western Seoul at 5 pm. Riot Games promises that the opening ceremony will be the largest ever in the history of the event.
